WEDDING DAY RECOMENDATIONS
Through my experience, this guide has helped families create beautiful and powerful photos.
Preparation is important for a seamless, fun day of shooting. There will be ample discussions prior to your date ~ these are a few key points important to me, and will help start the flow of ideas for your special day!
SETTING ASIDE SPECIFIC AMOUNTS OF TIME PRIOR TO THE MAIN PORTRAITS IS KEY TO CAPTURING THE BEST OF YOU.
FORMAL PORTRAITS + TIMING
Please set aside:
• 1.5 hours (very beginning of wedding day) - to photograph still-lifes of the dress, shoes, jewelry, stationary,
venue, landscape etc. This is before the bride is dressed and before the bride is finished with hair and make-up.
* I recommend the bride to be fully ready a minimum of 2 - 2.5 hours before the ceremony.
This timing depends on whether you are doing a 1st look.
• 25 minutes - Portraits of the Bride in her dress.
• 25 minutes - Portraits of the Couple. This can be after the first look or after the ceremony.
• 25 minutes - Portraits of the Couple. Pre-sunset (early cocktail hour). This will be in the landscape/environment.
* I highly recommend cushioning the day with pockets of time so you can truly enjoy each part & not feel rushed.
Please set aside at least 20 minutes for Portraits of the whole family. This should be after the first look or immediately after the ceremony.
If you have a big bridal party (more then 8 people) I will recommend another 20 minutes to be set aside.
* I highly recommend creating a simplified family/friends shot list. For execution - it helps to ask your bossiest
friend or family member to organize everyone together. This can also be done by someone from the wedding planning team.

OVERALL Recomendations
Natural light. Using the sun as our main source of light is key.
The sun naturally enhances all of the fine details you spent much effort on, and gives continuity.
I highly recommend having the majority of your events outdoors.
My second recommendation is to use spaces with available natural light such as large windows & etc.
Open sky for the ceremony. An open sky is the best backdrop for all photo shoots in my opinion.
We will hop on the phone a few weeks prior to the wedding day to go over other important details such as:
ceremony layout + lighting, wedding table lighting, reception lighting & etc.
We can also go over any planned surprises or must-have shots you are thinking of.
It’s important to have as many of these details covered prior to the actual day.
