A San Francisco kind a love
An At-Home Engagement Session with Lucia & Jack, Photographed on Film
There’s something timeless about slowing down. About documenting a couple in the space they call home — where the light hits just right through their favorite window, where the dog naps in the hallway, where the kitchen still smells like coffee. This was Lucia and Jack’s engagement session in San Francisco. Intimate, real, and completely them.
We started in their home — a charming apartment in the heart of the city with walls full of art and books that tell their story better than words ever could. Lucia wore a simple outfit and Jack brewed espresso. They moved with that kind of ease that only comes from knowing each other deeply. I photographed everything on film — the grain, the softness, the honesty — all part of what makes at-home engagement sessions so special.
Later, we stepped out and took a walk around their neighborhood. The light was soft, the city buzzing quietly in the background. San Francisco has that duality — a fast-paced rhythm but space for pause, for stolen kisses on quiet corners. We wandered through streets they walk every day, but this time with a layer of intention. Documenting their story exactly as it is right now.
As a San Francisco film photographer, I love these kinds of engagement sessions the most. Unscripted. Editorial. Real. Whether it’s your favorite coffee shop, your block, or your living room — these are the places where love actually lives.
If you’re looking for an engagement session in San Francisco that feels like you — not overly styled, not posed — just honest and beautiful on film, I’d love to hear from you.
